Hundreds of students from State High Schools and Middle Schools in Serang City participated in Financial Literacy Education activities at the Maulana Yusuf Sport Center, Serang City, Monday (7/23). This activity is to improve the quality and quality of children's education in Indonesia, especially in the city of Serang.
This event was held by PT BCA. Tbk. by presenting speakers BCA Independent Commissioner Cyrillus Harinowo. To reporters Cyrlilus Harinowo revealed that Financial Literacy Education is important to give to students so that in the future they will be able to manage finances well.
"The goal is clear, students will be expected to better understand how to manage finances well and planned. We try to eliminate consumptive culture and turn it into a productive culture. This is important to do to support national development," he explained.
He further said, the continuity of education and development in Indonesia is not only the responsibility of the government, but all elements of the nation also have obligations, including the world of banking.
In Banten Province, he explained, his party already had 1,000 assisted students consisting of 500 students of Serang State Middle School 6, and 500 Serang City 3 High School students.
"Since 2003, we have been involved in helping education in Indonesia, one of them in Banten or precisely in Serang 3 Public High School. Thanks to the cooperation and hard work of all parties, now this school is a reference or a favorite school in Banten Province," he explained .
